Teluk Chempedak

One of my favorite place in Kuantan is Teluk Chempedak. Yes, I love beaches so much. Teluk Chempedak (also locally known as T.C) is the most famous and commercialized beach in Kuantan. Most beach happenings occur here in TC. Two major attractions are the 24-hour McDonalds & Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) by the beach.
From Kuantan town, look out for signboards that point you to Pantai Teluk Chempedak. It is located approximately 10 minutes outside the city centre.
In the East Coast of Malaysia, Teluk Chempedak beach is equally popular to the well-known Pantai Cherating. So, T.C. is commonly crowded with evening strollers, kite flyers, and even swimmers. But do note that the waves can be pretty strong. Further from the beach, there are a number of eateries and souvenir outlets housed in a row of old shophouses that have been tastefully renovated.
The 5-star Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort is also situated here, adding some taste to this fashionable beach.
As whole, Teluk Chempedak is a beautiful, pristine and happening beach in Kuantan. It is a great choice for outdoor dining outlet as well as chilling out. But, if you want to get away from the crowd here, you might want to go to quieter beaches like Pantai Batu Hitam, Pantai Sepat, Pantai Balok or Pantai Cherating.
